Meet The Doctors
Dr. Lori Cockley
DDS, MAGD
Committed to lifelong learning in the dental field, Dr. Cockley has achieved Mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction held by only 2% of general dentists nationwide. Advanced training in restorative, cosmetic, and laser dentistry allows Dr. Cockley to work with you on a variety of dental concerns. With a background as a graphic artist, Dr. Cockley brings an eye for design to her cosmetic dentistry, so you can rest assured your smile will look its absolute best! She loves children and has a “child-friendly” practice, so bring your whole family, including the little ones!
In recent years, she developed an interest in treating TOTs (tethered oral tissues), also known as Tongue-Tie and Lip-Tie and 2018, she founded the Pennsylvania Tongue-Tie Center, an affiliate of East Berlin Smiles. She has successfully performed thousands of tongue-tie releases on patients of all ages, including newborns, and is one of the foremost authorities in the country on the subject. She works closely with a network of Lactation Consultants, Speech Language Pathologists, Oral Myofunctional Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and Body Workers all over the state, to coordinate supportive therapy.
Dr. Cockley believes in giving back by doing charity work, at home and overseas. She has volunteered here in our own community with Mission of Mercy, Dentistry from the Heart, and Donated Dental Services. Overseas, she has led teams that have traveled to Vietnam, Belize and Zambia to provide care to populations with no access to dental services. She also participates in numerous community outreach programs each year to benefit local charities.
Professionally, Dr. Cockley recently served on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry and was on the Peer Review Committee for Pennwell Publishing. Her articles have been published in the Journal of the American Orthodontic Society, Keystone Explorer and Dental Economics, and she has had literature reviews published in the Library of the Dental Academy of Continuing Education.
